hmmm!  I haven't posted in so long...not sure how to do this anymore.  I just got back from a card swap with other Close To My Heart consultants-I had so much fun and I don't want to stop making cards.  Do you think that my family would mind, if that is all I did?   It is much better therapy than sleeping or watching tv, correct?   I am presently reading 2 books about my mind and toxic thoughts.   So amazing how God created our minds and bodies.  So much goes on in our subconscious before a thought ever makes it to our conscious thought process.   I am in awe once again   :)   As I contemplate recruiting all the brain cells that I can, and holding fast to my desire to focus on my LORD and Savior,  I am encouraged by my reading of Caroline Leaf's book-Switching on Your Brain.   Well,  I am off to make a side to take to the church potluck honoring our graduates.   Hopefully more later!

Still Struggling to Post

I
I continue to find that downloading pictures just takes too much time...too much time to download from camera, then download to a site to get hard copies made (after I find the file in which I downloaded them, of course) and then try to post on facebook or whatever.  We had a busy fun-filled Christmas-with adult children coming and going when they could get off work (or school, in Ben's case) and make the trip to Aurora.  Enough of that!
I have been memorizing the book of James-and that is saying a mouthful about the mercy of my Father-because it is truly a gift that He has allowed me to hold these verses in my heart!  My brain has trouble bringing simple things to mind, frequently, these days-and yet, I am halfway through the last chapter!

I have been having fun with some Close To My Heart swaps-so I think I will post some of the things I have made!

Christmas cards that I made-using Close to My Heart products.  Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the card with gold and glitz on it.  Most of the card ideas were from cards I found on pinterest and adapted to the paper I was using.

8 cards I made from one sheet of 8x8 pear and partridge paper from Close to My Heart (plus cardstock and embellishments).  The cutting diagram and the idea for card layouts were found at www.joyfullymadedesigns.blogspot.com

Much as I love scrapbooking-trying to scrapbook without using any pictures was very difficult for me.  I have always told my story through the pictures.  But that was my homework this month-do a scrapbook page using words only-no pictures.  Well,  I am done and just in time for tomorrow's Close to My Heart unit meeting!

As I drag my feet into the blogging world,  I am determined to persevere and figure this "thing"out.  I love to journal but would be terribly mortified if anyone were to read my journal-so personal perspective is not what this blog is about.  This blog is so that I can share some thoughts on paper crafting, as well as have a little fun.
